Rob Latham is a freelance copywriter with a background in content creation, marketing, public relations, and journalism.
I started my freelance business after 10 years of working for PR and Marketing agencies. My career began working as a reporter for local newspapers, starting as the sole reporter on a new publication in the Cotswolds then becoming the Worcester Warriors writer for the Worcester Standard.
I went travelling in Canada in 2009 and worked at the Vancouver Winter Olympics, where I got some experience of working with media outlets like BBC, CNN and MTV. Upon returning to the UK, I moved into technology PR, and spent 10 years leading PR campaigns and writing content for global tech brands.
But in 2019, I decided it was time for a change. I started my own business while travelling the world, spending seven months in Chile, Peru, Colombia, Mexico, Vietnam, Thailand, and Japan. The pandemic put pay to that – along with a pretty nasty, very untimely sports injury! – but I spent time strengthening the business and continuing to work for myself back in the UK.
In January 2023, I headed back out on my travels, looking to continue growing the business while seeing more of the world. I travelled across South America for six months then, in 2024, travelled across Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and Thailand. In my free time, I like to play sports like football and tennis, I run a couple of music and gaming blogs, and love a good true crime documentary.
What Do We Do?
I create written content, from blogs and how-to articles through to whitepapers, for technology brands. I’ve been lucky to work with some fantastic brands, including those below. Discover more of what I do via the Our Work page.
